Chamber Music by Candlelight

Peter Sykes, harpsichord
J.S. Bach: The Goldberg Variations

1993 Bodky Laureate Peter Sykes is in high demand as a performer on the harpsichord, organ and clavichord, appearing with Boston Baroque, the Boston Early Music Festival Orchestra, as a featured soloist on the Bank of Boston Emerging Artists Celebrity Series, and in recitals across the United States and abroad. Bach’s timelessly fascinating Goldberg Variations, one of the supreme monuments of Western culture, will showcase Sykes’ “delicacy of touch” and “sense of drama and romance” in a fitting celebration of the 326th anniversary of the composer’s birthday.
